Active Home Week
Normally Active School Week would take place at this time of the year however this year that is sadly not possible. So the Active Home Week Challenge has been set up. According to the World Health Organisation children and young people need at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day. The aim of the challenge is for every child to do at least 60 minutes of exercise each day for a week. You can keep track of the activity using the chart below. Lots of ideas of how to keep active and more information about the challenge have been included below. Also included below is the Daily Mile at Home Challenge which could be completed as part of the 60 minutes of daily activity. We want to see if you can complete a mile every day. 2000 steps equals 1 mile.
April 3rd
Dear Parents,
Thank you for engaging with us for the past three weeks with distance learning. It hasn't been easy but we appreciate the efforts put in by everybody involved. We now have come to our Easter holidays and we are free until the 20th April. By then we will know if this form of learning will be continuing. It has been good to keep in contact with the children and those who have not made contact with us, will be contacted directly once learning resumes.
The important thing is that we all follow the guidelines of social distancing and washing our hands. Easter will be a different celebration for us all this year but once everybody is safe and well that is all that matters. There are plenty of ideas up on the parents page if you are stuck for things to do over the break and we will continue to update it as the need arises.
Finally we would like to wish everybody a happy and safe Easter and that the weather remains good so we can be outside over the next two weeks.
