Green-Schools is Ireland’s leading environmental management and education programme for schools. It promotes long-term, whole-school action for the environment. Green-Schools is a student-led programme with involvement from the wider community.

We have 6 Green-Schools Flags
- Our 1st flag is in Litter and Waste. This theme focused on litter and waste issues, encouraging a sense of responsibility.
- Our 2nd flag is in Energy. This theme looked at the steps that could be taken at school to help reduce energy consumption and raise awareness of climate change.
- Our 3rd flag is in Water. This theme developed awareness around water conservation and how to effectively manage this important resource in schools.
- Our 4th flag is in Travel. This theme aimed to increase the number of students walking, cycling, scooting, using public transport or carpooling to school.
- Our 5th flag is in Biodiversity. This theme looked at increasing awareness in schools of the importance of native plants, animals and habitats.
- Our 6th Green Flag is Global Citizenship - Litter and Waste. This theme will enable our school to discover how work on Green-Schools will positively influence our global community.
