The Active School flag committee has 3 aims:

To make sure that everybody takes part in some kind of activity during or after school, e.g. walking, cycling, swimming, running or just playing.
To help children to be more active inside and outside of school. It is recommended that children have at least 60 minutes of activity every day.
To make sure we have fun while getting more active!

What Club Are You In?

We conducted a survey called "What Club are you in?".  The aim of this survey was to find out what physical activity opportunities are available in the local community.

The Active School Committee asked their class about what clubs they were in.  They recorded the results and brought them results back to the Active School meeting.  At the meeting we examined and evaluated the findings.  We discussed them the findings of the survey.  We were delighted that most pupils in the school take part in physical activity outside of school.  With numerous pupils involved in more than one group.  In total the children in the school are involved 17 different groups in the local area covering many different sports.  We learned through this survey that there are so many different options for children to get involved in physical activity in the local area.  Finally we created a table displaying the results for the whole school to see which is now on display on our Active School noticeboard.  Please take a look at our results above.
